Treworgy & Baldacci is taking action to help contain the COVID-19 virus and to protect the safety and well-being of our employees, clients and friends consistent with CDC recommendations and governmental directives. Our business is considered essential for the purpose of the emergency orders issued by Governor Mills and by the municipalities where we operate so our physical offices will remain open and we’ll continue moving transactions forward.

Closings will be subject to the following limitations. In the absence of narrow prearranged exceptions, closings should be either (i) in our offices where those present will be limited to persons executing documents (together with our closer) or (ii) by mail. We’ll make our office closings as safe as possible by cleaning surfaces before each closing, maintaining safe distances, discarding pens after each closing, and structuring closings so buyers and sellers can be in different rooms at different times.

We are happy to overnight mail, wire or deliver real estate agent’s commission checks. Please contact us to discuss the option that works best for you.

We recognize the disruption these measures will have on clients and we’re committed to reducing the impact whenever possible.

NOTE: Our continued operation could be interrupted if registries of deeds do not remain open for e-recording and on-line research. Remote online notarization is not currently permitted by Maine law.
